Sweet Buys: Let's get SHEERFUL!

OK terrible pun I know! Let's forget it ever happened and check out my pics instead! NO MIRROR PHOTOS! Yep I've entered a whole new world with my handy dandy tripod! Granted I'm not PERFECT at using it but I'll learn!
So onto the clothing! Once again Forever 21+ has managed to sink it's claws into my wallet! Two lovely sheer blouses paired with some fun accessories equals happiness!

Sheer Contrast Shirt
Size Pictured: 3X
$24.80
Sheer Contrast Shirt
A black sheer top with grey collar/pocket/cuff trim that can be used for business or pleasure. I definitely like the style, however it's not all that sheer but if you're shy I'd recommend a tank top or bandeau! The sleeves are a little long so I prefer them rolled up a little below my elbow. I find that the blouse goes best with black skinny pants. Click the link above for more details!

Gold Chain
Now I found the gold chain in an antique store but Etsy has  thousands of options I promise! Click the title and see!

Bowler Hat
My bowler hat is one of my prized possessions because it's the only head gear to look perfect on me! It's no longer in stock at Domino Dollhouse, but don't worry, Etsy has you covered here too! Link it to check out a selection of sweet hats!

Pyramid Studded Collar Shirt
Size Pictured:3X
19.80
Pyramid Studded Collar Shirt
My new favourite item! No questioning its sheerness, this royal blue blouse has gunmetal studs and kicks all kinds of butt! I like outfits that say cute and tough at the same time. The model in the link above has paired the top with some forest green pants and a leather jacket. I love the combo so they might be the next items on my wish list! And as with the first shirt, if you're a little shy, tank tops are your friends! If you're not, more power to you!

The picture below gives you a closer look at the lovely detail AND a little surprise under the collar. The gunmetal spike pendant definitely compliments the studs, and although it's also a Forever 21 find, it is no longer in stock =[
HOWEVER the site still has some sweet spikey accessories

AND you don't have to wear it buttoned to a top. For a more relaxed feel, loosen a couple!

Wish List Wednesday: Forever 21 Fever

Oh Forever 21 why do you do this to me!? I just made a silent pact with myself to hold off on the shopping! My poor closet can't take it!
Yes a bunch of new arrivals in the Forever 21+ line have caught my eye and I'm trying to hold off my itchy wallet fingers. Bright colours, rompers, dresses, shorts….I need to catch my breath.
Below are a few of the items I'm thinking about inquiring about at my local F21+:

Colorblock Bias Dress
$17.80
TREND ALERT! I can already picture it: Me, this lovely knit colorblck dress, and kickback night out with the ladies!
It looks perfect for a summer night out! For more info on this simple yet beautiful dress click here!

Flounced Strapless Watercolour Print Dress
$27.80
This is a print that I've never seen before! Satin with and elasticized waist and neckline and underbust sash, this dress looks like a head-turner to me. I like the use of the long simple gold chain on the model but I'm not digging the shoes.
You be the judge! Check out the product and think about how YOU would accessorize this dress!

Daisy Cutout Back Dress
$24.80
I've been a ditz for daisy prints since I was little! The V-neck is dainty, the daisies are fresh, and the cutout in the back is pure fun. You'd have to be careful accessorizing this dress since chunky jewelry would probably create an overpowering effect of busyness! Check out this lovely dress here!

ROMPER TIME! Whether fun abstract prints or solid colours are your style, Forever 21+ seems to be able to satisfy both tastes with what they have to offer. I love both these looks and paired with the right shoes or sun hat, they're sure to be a couple of spotlight items in your closet. Comfy, cute and classy are words to live by, and I think these two items fit the bill. Click on either photo for more info!

Polka Dot Power! Domino Dollhouse

Button Button Top (Red/White) $29.99
Twist Tees Yellow Foxy Cami $18.50
I discovered Domino Dollhouse (sizes 1X-4X) a few weeks ago and was blown away by their bold, fabulous, fun patterns. Not your typical paisley plus-size clothing. and I'm a sucker for polka dots so when I saw the Button Button Top (Red/White) I had to have it!
An oversized, sheer blouse, short on the sides, cape style in the back, and lovely large sleeves. It is the most comfortable blouse I own and paired with a Twist Tees Yellow Foxy Cami from Torrid it is part of the brightest outfit I've ever put together! I received so many compliments!

The Button Button Top also comes in Blue/White
and White/Black

Bowler Hat $17.99
This   wonderful Bowler Hat (Also from Domino Dollhouse) completed my outfit. The closest thing I've come to in hats are beanies. It's always been really difficult to fit hats to my head shape, and until I took a chance with this bowler, my hat confidence was in shambles! I absolutely adore my new chapeau!

Sweet Buy: Plaid Princess

Pictured Size:3
PLAID! Plaid always makes me happy!
To the left, I am pictured in a Red Lurex Plaid Shirt with button cinching in the back to really make it really hug your curves . (I didn't discover the buttons until I tried it on. Pleasant surprise!)
Unlike some droopy plaid tops, this one seemes to really understand a lady's body. The sleeves are long but I rolled them up. I always mean business!
Find this top at your local Torrid or online in red, teal and black, or purple!
I like to wear it with leggings and a pair of oxford flats, but the shirt can really come together with any choice of bottoms! Click the picture below for more product info!

Sweet Buy Stripes!

I was so very close to posting a picture taken with a real camera but the resulting photos were very fuzzy, so here I am with my handy camera phone!
Over the holidays I acquired a lot of fabulous Torrid pieces, so hopefully there will be more updates!
I'm quite the regular at my local Torrid, so much so that a couple members of staff have memorized my sizes! One staff member went to the back and came out with some lovely items, including the striped ponte jacket pictured.

Black and White Striped Cropped Ponte Jacket
The cropped jacket gives a flair of femininity with ruched sleeves and for those of you that like a little closure, there is a single button. The only con I find (a con that I find with most blazers produced by Torrid) is that the jacket has fake pockets….WHY TORRID?! Ladies need pockets too!  Size Pictured: 3

Tripp NYC Black Skinny Pant
I haven't had a nice pair of black pants for a while. This pair really hugs the curves, however I realized that although, at the time, I was wearing a size 22 in jeans, I needed to buy a the black pants in a size bigger (24). And for those that like a bit of stretch and love the feel of Source of Wisdom, you may find yourself pining for those blue jeans since the waistline of the Tripp pants isn't very stretchy. However I find them comfortable enough and I love that they are versatile, so whether you're in a fun flirty mood, or you're ready for business, slip into these with a nice pair of chucks, wedges, or heels and you're good to go! Size Pictured: 24R

Striped Tank Top
The tank top pictured is a top I've had since high school. Purchased at Hot Topic in the throws of my punk/goth youth, I used it in my stripey ensemble today and I must say it worked wonderfully. Personally, I would not venture to partner a top with a very busy patterns with the jacket. Stripes or solid colours would be my approach, but honestly to each their own!
